It chronicles the transformation of Sweden in the 1990s, evolving from a relatively tranquil nation untouched by organized crime into a land marked by intense gang conflicts and violent shootouts. Premiering **Thursdays**, June 19 **through July 24** in the U.S. on Viaplay and featuring top Swedish actors and directors, **‘Mafia’** is a powerful character-driven drama about two underdogs from completely different worlds who are forced to take a risky game to bypass their superiors: Radovan "Jakov" Jakovic (Peshang Rad, Gåsmamman, Bäckström), the criminal entrepreneur and cigarette smuggler, and Gunn Thörngren (Katia Winter, The Boys, Dexter), the police officer who sees what no one else sees, that the revenues from cigarette smuggling will create a proper mafia in Sweden. It doesn't take long before they develop a connection with each other. Both are convinced they are using the other to their own advantage, but for both of them, their contact will have devastating consequences. \| **Genre** Nordic Noir, Crime Drama \| **Format** 6 x 45' \| **Language** Swedish w/English Subtitles \| \|---\|---\|---\| \| [![Screeners (Login or Request Account)](https://frontend-assets.clipsource.com/6310ab6ab955c/via-6310ac3f03388/2025/06/24/685aefe538ca3.png)](https://eur01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fviaplaycontentdistribution.com%2Fcampaign%2Flink%2F3130332d31313533%2F68747470733a2f2f766961706c6179636f6e74656e74646973747269627574696f6e2e636f6d2f7469746c652f6d61666961&data=05%7C02%7Cchad.campbell%40viaplaygroup.com%7Ca041bb78c29a4dc8e8bf08dd97aef746%7C1f8f841a57bd4a618f2caaa6507ce83b%7C0%7C0%7C638833499942791802%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=fodQ8MJMiTgFAnUm4pwnOPNfQfPZOVFK28JkMsK%2FKv8%3D&reserved=0) \| \|---\| \| [![MAFIA Trailer](https://frontend-assets.clipsource.com/6310ab6ab955c/via-6310ac3f03388/2025/06/24/685aefe5f3162.png)](https://eur01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fviaplaycontentdistribution.com%2Fcampaign%2Flink%2F3130332d31313533%2F68747470733a2f2f7777772e796f75747562652e636f6d2f77617463683f763d5a7a754252513366656a6b&data=05%7C02%7Cchad.campbell%40viaplaygroup.com%7Ca041bb78c29a4dc8e8bf08dd97aef746%7C1f8f841a57bd4a618f2caaa6507ce83b%7C0%7C0%7C638833499942812098%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=9EyaEo16ADLGhbvAxP9E%2BEh8ZPdC3kyidcIXJ8FozMc%3D&reserved=0) \| | |---| | | |---| | \| ![The Hunt Thumbnail](https://frontend-assets.clipsource.com/6310ab6ab955c/via-6310ac3f03388/2025/06/24/685aefe59bf0d.jpg) **The Hunt** Newly Available to Binge: Called "a milestone in Dutch television history," this award-winning, spine-chilling crime drama is inspired by the real-life murder of Marianne Vaatstra, a case that gripped the Netherlands for more than a decade before it was solved. \| Genre Crime Drama \| Format 6 x 50' \| Language Dutch w/English Subtitles \| \|---\|---\|---\| \| [![Trailer & Screeners](https://frontend-assets.clipsource.com/6310ab6ab955c/via-6310ac3f03388/2025/06/24/685aefe63b4f5.png)](https://eur01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fviaplaycontentdistribution.com%2Fcampaign%2Flink%2F3130332d31313533%2F68747470733a2f2f766961706c6179636f6e74656e74646973747269627574696f6e2e636f6d2f7469746c652f7468652d68756e74&data=05%7C02%7Cchad.campbell%40viaplaygroup.com%7Ca041bb78c29a4dc8e8bf08dd97aef746%7C1f8f841a57bd4a618f2caaa6507ce83b%7C0%7C0%7C638833499942821259%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=B%2FO6otlEC5R90jofz5kUe7xpC1uzHiB1WYYm53oxDCw%3D&reserved=0) \| \|---\| \| \|---\| | | \| ![The Bunker Thumbnail](https://frontend-assets.clipsource.com/6310ab6ab955c/via-6310ac3f03388/2025/06/24/685aefe57f151.jpg) **The Bunker** Newly Available to Binge: A chilling and shocking new true-crime docuseries following a woman who revisits her past trauma of being abducted, held captive in a bunker, and making a daring escape with getting her kidnapper to a police station lobby. \| **Genre** True Crime Documentary \| **Format** 3 x 44' \| **Language** Swedish w/English Subtitles \| \|---\|---\|---\|---\|---\| \| [![Trailer & Screeners](https://frontend-assets.clipsource.com/6310ab6ab955c/via-6310ac3f03388/2025/06/24/685aefe5b90c5.png)](https://eur01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fviaplaycontentdistribution.com%2Fcampaign%2Flink%2F3130332d31313533%2F68747470733a2f2f766961706c6179636f6e74656e74646973747269627574696f6e2e636f6d2f7469746c652f7468652d62756e6b6572&data=05%7C02%7Cchad.campbell%40viaplaygroup.com%7Ca041bb78c29a4dc8e8bf08dd97aef746%7C1f8f841a57bd4a618f2caaa6507ce83b%7C0%7C0%7C638833499942830121%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=CoputHwwM%2BuAOXZael%2BPNFowAc%2Bqtuyywa3zTPhIGGI%3D&reserved=0) \| \|---\| \| \|---\| | |---| | | |---| | \| ![Under the Radar Thumbnail](https://frontend-assets.clipsource.com/6310ab6ab955c/via-6310ac3f03388/2025/06/24/685aefe61d4cf.jpg) **Under the Radar** Newly Available to Binge: An infamous Swedish serial killer is connected to unsolved Florida murders in this haunting, three-part true crime docuseries.
