INTERVIEW OPP: Producer John Mork
With echoes of the notorious Austrian Josef Fritzl case, that sent shockwaves around the world, The Bunker, a chilling new true-crime documentary sheds light on another unimaginable crime, that saw a young Swedish woman, Isabel Eriksson, drugged and kidnapped by a doctor on their second date.

Surviving the torturous abduction, the heroic woman confronts her past trauma in this unflinching new series that gets its UK debut on Viaplay in January 2025.

In 2015, following a date with Martin Trenneborg, Isabel woke up in a bunker that the doctor had spent years building. He planned to keep her and other women locked up in this horrific place and although Isobel survived the terrifying ordeal, she is still haunted to this day. Battling PTSD, Isobel bravely faces her fears as she revisits her past and tries to come to terms with what the vile kidnapper did to her.

The Bunker is told in the survivor’s own words and follows Isabel as she bravely visits a reconstructed bunker, to face her devastating past and try and overcome the severe post-traumatic stress disorder that prevents her from living a normal life.
