Furia, Season 2 – Thrilling hit Nordic-noir series (Season 1 streaming now)
Monday 11 August – New to Viaplay (All six episodes available at once)
Interview Opps: Cast/Filmmakers
Hit Scandi-noir thriller Furia arrives on Viaplay with its second explosive series. This taut political drama is rooted in the dark realities of modern Europe. The first series introduces us to a world where nothing is as it seems… seemingly radical blogger Ragna (Ine Marie Wilmann) is in fact an undercover agent and a quiet former cop Asgeir (Pål Sverre Hagen) holds secrets with global consequences. As bombing, cyberattacks and disinformation sweep through Europe, Furia dares to ask: what happens when the line between enemy and ally disappears?
The second series plunges deeper into a clandestine war… where rising right-wing extremism, cyberterrorism, deepfakes and political conspiracies are only the beginning. Asgeir (Hagen) and Ragna, also known as Ellen (Wilmann), have built a quiet family life… that is until a new threat drags them back into the shadows. Their mission begins in Hungary, winds through Warsaw and ultimately confronts a rising tide of European extremism that threatens to consume them both. Acclaimed Polish actor Borys Szyc (Snow White and Russian Red) joins the cast as menacing Moldovan businessman Zimnov, a figure from Asgeir’s past who steps into the centre of the chaos.
Created by Emmy-winning showrunner Gjermund Stenberg Eriksen (Mammon) and directed by Magnus Martens (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Fear the Walking Dead)) and Michał Rogalski (Summer Solstice), Furia is an unmissable descent into a world where ideology turns lethal, identities unravel and the most dangerous enemies are those you never see coming. You can run, but your past is always just one step behind.
