Save Me S1
Mediterranean Noir Series from Greece | from 22 June

Save Me is considered one of the best Greek crime series ever. With its atmospheric imagery from Komotini in northern Greece, the series opens up a genre that has hardly been occupied in the German market: Mediterranean noir.

Against the atmospheric backdrop of northern Greece, a gripping psychological thriller unfolds: The young wood sculptor Nikol returns to her father's funeral service in her hometown of Komotini – shortly afterwards her little sister disappears without a trace. In search of the truth, Nikol teams up with a determined local policewoman whose own inner demons reflect the dark secrets of the city. What begins as a missing person case quickly develops into a hunt for a serial killer. The investigations force both women to deal with guilt, corruption and a repressed past – and show how much abyss can lurk in a seemingly normal community.
