Exclusive UK Premiere

Monday 20 July (Complete Series Available)

The Haddad family are in crisis, settled in their home in the Stockholm suburb of Smedsby – when their landlord decides to renovate the apartments, they find themselves on the verge of eviction, which threatens to split an already divided family.

As gentrification pushes them out, the family scramble to find a new place to live during an idyllic Swedish summer. They not only clash with each other, but they must battle with their surroundings too, as the Lebanese immigrant parents strive to understand their more assimilated children, who grapple with the challenges of adolescence and dual identities. Amidst this turmoil, they embark on a journey of self-discovery, seeking not only a new home in Sweden but also to find a sense of belonging within their own family unit.

Driven by the unique perspective of its creators, who pour their history into the story, Home In You is a series that sheds light on societal problems surrounding immigration and gentrification, delicately balancing serious topics with humour and warmth.

Monday 27 July

Trailer

Viaplay announces the exclusive UK premiere of The Activists – a gripping political period thriller that dramatises the events leading up to the assassination of Russian Governor-General Nikolai Bobrikov in 1904 – Finland’s first political assassination.

This sumptuously made mini-series is set against the turbulent backdrop of early 20th-century Finland, as the country dreams of independence from Tsarist Russia. It follows three intertwining stories of young revolutionaries caught in a whirlwind of violence, ideological fervour and personal sacrifice.

From 1899 to 1906, the series captures a nation on the brink of transformation – where deep social divisions, radical movements, and political intrigue collide. With a modern, fast-paced narrative style, it explores the emotional and psychological toll of activism, the complexities of resistance and the human cost of fighting for freedom.

This bold and radical portrayal of historical events offers a fresh lens on Finland’s path to sovereignty, with powerful storytelling rooted in real political upheaval and is a must-watch.

(Period Drama series 3 x 58 mins episodes)

Swedish, Finnish and Russian with English subtitles

Save Me – Gritty Greek Noir Thriller

Exclusive UK Premiere

Monday 13 July (Complete Series Available)

Trailer

Set in the atmospheric landscapes of northern Greece and seen on Netflix Greece, this gripping psychological thriller follows Nikol (Danae Skiadi), a young woodcarver who returns to her hometown in Komotini for her father’s memorial. But not long after she arrives, her younger sister mysteriously vanishes. As Nikol tries to unravel the unsettling circumstances surrounding the disappearance, she teams up with a determined local detective (Elena Mavridou) whose own demons mirror the town’s long buried secrets. Together they navigate a web of lies, trauma, and long-suppressed truths hidden beneath the surface of an outwardly quiet community.

What begins as a missing persons search quickly spirals into a tense search for a serial killer, forcing both Nikol and the detective to confront guilt, corruption, and the dangerous consequences of uncovering the past. As time runs out, the investigation exposes just how far people will go to protect their own – and how darkness can thrive in the most ordinary places.

This gritty and enthralling series is based on the popular novel of the same name by author Dimitris Simos, who also acts as head screenwriter on the series.
