New gripping true crime docuseries UNDER THE RADAR – Secrets of a Swedish Serial Killer makes its North American debut on Tuesday, July 30 on the Viaplay streaming service. In this haunting, three-part documentary filmed in Sweden and the United States, documentary director and investigative journalist John Mork enlists musicians, investigators, graphologists, and more, to help him solve a cryptic song and thoroughly investigate any unsolved murders during an infamous serial killer’s time in Florida.
Mork receives a mysterious sheet of music to a song titled “Under the Radar.” The unreleased song was written by infamous Swedish serial killer Peter Mangs while serving a life sentence behind bars and passed along by his prison psychologist.
As stated by Mangs, the song confesses to a double homicide in Florida: “If you can solve the codes, you can understand how the murders went down and where the bodies are buried.”
In 2009-2010, Mangs targeted immigrants and through a string of attacks terrorized the Swedish city of Malmö. He is currently serving a life sentence for two murders and eight attempted murders in Sweden. However, there continue to be strong suspicions about his involvement in far more crimes.
