In the Name of Love – Entertaining Comedy-Drama Series
Monday 8 September – Exclusive UK Premiere (Episodes 1 & 2, then two episodes per week)
In an eye-poppingly entertaining new comedy-drama series, we meet a family with a saucy secret from their past, but sometimes, the past comes back with a bang, when you least expect it.
Back in the 1970s in straight-laced Norway, one family made their living in a way that raised more than just a few eyebrows… the porn industry.
Now the kids have grown up and the parents have split up… One of the sons, Balder and his wife welcome their entire family to their daughter’s baptism, well, almost the entire family. Balder’s father shows up uninvited and it’s not long before the family’s past comes up. Although Balder’s mother did everything she could to keep the source of income hidden, his father saw eroticism as political rebellion against the morality police. Will Balder’s wife still love him when she finds out about the family saucy secret? Based on the true, untold story of director Bård Breien’s own life, this is a story of how opposites attract and sometimes collide, of freedom and perceived decency and of family conflict and resolution.
The series is created by director Bård Breien (the award-winning The Art of Negative Thinking) and features a stellar cast headlined by Maria Bonnevie (Another Round), Trond Espen Seim (Mammon), Jakob Oftebro (Agent Hamilton), Jonas Oftebro (Ragnarok), and Ingrid Gaever (Headhunters).
