SPOTLIGHT: DRAMA
A Life’s Worth – Wartime drama inspired by true conflict
Exclusive US Premiere
Thursday, October 30 (two episodes at launch then one episode per week through Thursday, November 27)
Festival Acclaim: Series Mania 2025 (International Panorama Nominee) and Sarajevo Film Festival 2025 (Official Selection)
Interview Opps: Cast/Creatives including Edvin Ryding (Young Royals, 28 Years Later, No Time to Mourn, upcoming Hunger Games prequel)
Inspired by the first Swedish UN battalion in Bosnia in 1993, the gripping character drama series follows brave Swedish soldiers thrown into Bosnia's brutal conflict - navigating the treacherous line between duty and humanity.
Delving into the lives of those who voluntarily ventured into the heart of conflict, some driven by duty, others by the prospect of adventure, the series follows four young soldiers - Forss, Babic, Strand and Kilpinen – during their first overseas service in the tangled and bloody conflict in the Balkans. The mission proves impossible to solve by peaceful means alone. They are accompanied by their battalion commander Andreasson, who is torn between the desire to intervene and the duty to follow orders. It's a story of human brutality and difficult moral decisions, but also of strong friendship, love and trust.
A Life’s Worth is infused with high suspense, deep emotion, and life-or-death stakes. Inspired by true events and Magnus Ernström’s novel ‘A Half Year, an Entire Life’, the series offers a rare, firsthand perspective on the Bosnian War. Rather than focusing on the mechanics of warfare, A Life’s Worth explores the resilience, moral dilemmas, and bonds that form in the face of conflict, making it a deeply human and universally relevant story.
This landmark drama is directed by Ahmed Abdullahi (Top Dog) and features an incredible ensemble cast including Edvin Ryding (Young Royals, 28 Years Later, No Time to Mourn), Erik Enge (Tigers, Exit End of Summer), Johan Rheborg (The Glass Dome, Sunny Side), Maxwell Cunningham (Top Dog, Blinded), and Toni Prince (Agent Hamilton). (6 episodes x 44’, Swedish, English, Serbian and Serbo-Croatian with English subtitles)

One of the most popular Nordic Noir series is back with eight gripping episodes, with seasons 1-3 also available to binge. In Season 4, when the young gang member Patrick is released after doing time in jail, he hails a cab and heads out to celebrate with his friends. But as soon as Patrick leaves the bar, he gets shot in the chest by an unknown shooter. The killing of Patrick marks the beginning of a spectacular murder mystery in the Øresund region, as it examines the question of when criminals are truly done serving time for their misdeeds, and whether the hunt for justice can be taken too far.
Louise Bergstein (Natalie Madueño)– who is still dating Frederik (Simon Sears, Secrets We Keep) – gets involved with the case when it becomes clear to Frederik that this incident is not the simple gang retaliation it might initially appear to be. With the help of her mentor, the experienced Swedish investigator Gunnar Nymark, Louise creates a profile that points them in the direction of an organized, determined, and ruthless murderer. Only when a controversial lawyer with clear connections to Patrick and his affiliated gang ends up dead does Louise manage to identify the murderer... And an intense search to capture him begins. (8 episodes x 45’, Danish with English subtitles)
