Following its rave reviews and a record-breaking Swedish debut, prepare for the impending new arrival of All and Eva, a hilariously fresh take on the comedy-drama genre starring acclaimed Swedish actor Tuva Novotny (Annihilation, Eat Pray Love) in the compelling lead role. Meet Eva, an assertive woman who has taken having a baby into her own hands. However, when Eva decides to track down the sperm donor, their encounter takes an unexpected turn… This hugely entertaining six-part drama will be available for the first time in the UK exclusively on Viaplay from 23 September.

For 40 years, Eva has remained steadfast in her disbelief in love. Instead, she believes that happiness lies in her love for herself and her friends, a philosophy that has guided her well in her meticulously planned life. After deciding to have a baby, she heads to Copenhagen to find the perfect sperm donor and opts for an open provider who looks perfect on paper.

As curiosity gets the better of her, she can’t help but wonder whether she’s backed the right horse. Seeking to find out what the donor is really like, she decides to find him… When Eva literally bumps into Mads (Joachim FjelstrupRide Upon the Storm, The Girl With The Needle), she discovers that he’s perfectly normal, kind and above all else – not a psychopath and returns to Stockholm satisfied with her decision and the new life growing inside her. But the enigmatic Mads can't stop thinking about her and has completely different plans – without knowing her secret...

Taelgia – Swedish suspense crime drama

This standout Swedish crime drama follows the lives of residents, police and criminals as they struggle to survive on the mean streets of Södertälje. Created by Jens Östberg (Blowfly Park), Taelgia gets its UK premiere on Viaplay on 9 September. 

In Södertälje, families, police and criminals are caught in a crossfire of loyalties, demands and guilt. While some try to find a better life for themselves, some can’t escape. With criminals running riot, the young adults are sucked into a life of crime, like moths to a flame. Starting out as runners who sell drugs and rig getaway mopeds it’s not long before they’re forced into dangerous assignments.

When Gabriel (John Hanna) moves into the Ronna district of Södertälje, he meets teenager Marko (Jonay Pineda Skallak) who deals drugs in the local area. It’s not long before the pair become embroiled in the murky underworld of serious crime and as unrest mounts, debts owed by Gabriel’s family take their toll. Can they find a way out or be consumed by the chaos around them?

Crime doesn’t pay in Taelgia, a must-watch gritty and gripping new crime drama.

Take a trip to Black Sands the award-winning, acclaimed Nordic Noir  coming to Viaplay from 30 September. This brilliant series is co-written by and stars Aldis Amah Hamilton (The Valhalla Murders, Katla). The groundbreaking actor/writer is the first actress of colour to be nominated for Best Actress at the Edda Awards – Iceland’s Emmys.

Featuring beautiful cinematography of Iceland’s famous black sands, this dark crime drama follows troubled police officer Aníta Elínardóttir (Hamilton) as she’s forced back to her hometown where she must confront her abusive mother. But it’s not long before a body turns up and she’s thrown headlong into a dangerous search for a serial killer who has been operating undetected for years, disguising murders as accidents. Can Aníta catch the killer before they strike again?

The Rapist’s Journal – Chilling Polish true-crime documentary series

Chilling true-crime documentary series The Rapist’s Journal makes its UK debut on 16 September on Viaplay. This haunting, three-part series is a probing enquiry into the heinous terror inflicted by a serial rapist in Poland who evaded capture for years. The fascinating series scrutinises the failures that allowed his shocking spree to continue and the voices that were silenced.

Accused of more than 20 cases of serious sexual assault and confessing to 96 cases of rape – this documentary raises the question… how could this serial offender have got away with so many crimes for so long? When the police eventually arrested the attacker, one of the strongest pieces of evidence was a diary that documented details of the victims, the crime scenes and planned future attacks. The Rapist’s Journal explores this dark diary, providing a rare insight into the twisted mind of one of Poland’s most prolific predators.

The Investigation (Efterforskningen) Danish Crime Drama Inspired by True Events

Join The Investigation for a taut Danish crime drama from BAFTA®-nominated, award-winning writer-director Tobias Lindholm (Another Round, The Hunt). Based on the real-life investigation of the death of Swedish journalist Kim Wall – one of the most notorious crimes in Danish history – the series stars Søren Malling (A Hijacking, Granite Harbour), Pilou Asbæk (Game of Thrones, Uncharted, Samaritan) and Pernilla August (Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace). This lauded six-parter will be available to binge on Viaplay on 2 September.

When Swedish journalist Kim Wall disappears while aboard a local inventor's homemade submarine, Chief Inspector Jens Møller (Malling) suspects foul play. Committed to cracking the case, he leads Copenhagen’s police homicide unit in tirelessly investigating her murder, stopping at nothing until they’ve cracked the case.

Erling Braut Haaland – born in Leeds and raised in Norway – has taken the Premier League by storm.
